INTRODUCTION
VIGORA 50MG contains Sildenafil which belongs to the group of medicines called Phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitors. It is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. Erectile dysfunction (also known as impotence) is a sexual condition where a man cannot sustain a hard erected penis which is required for normal sexual activity. It happens due to decreased blood flow to the penis which is caused due to narrowing of the blood vessels supplying the penis.
Sildenafil improves penile erection (make penis firm) during sexual intercourse. It acts by relaxing the blood vessels supplying the penis which therefore improves penile blood flow and oxygen supply.
VIGORA 50MG would help you to get an erection only if you are sexually stimulated. It is not an aphrodisiac (sex-stimulating agent) and therefore cannot be used to induce sexual thoughts or can improve sexual performance/pleasure in healthy men. It is also not suitable for use in healthy men who do not have erectile dysfunction.
It may take around 30 minutes to 1 hour for VIGORA 50MG to start working, therefore take this medicine at least one hour before planning to have sex. Avoid taking heavy meals while taking VIGORA 50MG, as it could further delay the onset of action.
Before taking VIGORA 50MG, inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or heart problems. Inform your doctor if you have pulmonary arterial hypertension (increased pressure in the lungs) and taking similar medicines to treat your condition. Avoid taking any other local or oral treatments for erectile dysfunction simultaneously while taking VIGORE 50MG without consulting your doctor.
VIGORE 50MG is not intended for use in women. It is also not suitable for use in children and adolescents (below 18 years). Inform your doctor if you experience any painful and prolong erection after taking VIGORE 50MG. The most common side effects of taking VIGORA 50MG are flushing, headache, dizziness, blurred vision and muscle pain. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect troubles you.

HOW VIGORE 50MG WORKS
VIGORA 50MG improves penile erection (make penis firm) during sexual intercourse, where sildenafil acts by improving the blood supply to the penis. It works by blocking the effects of certain enzymes (PDE5) which limits blood flow to the penis. As a result, it relaxes the blood vessels supplying the penis, improves penile function and makes it stay erected throughout the process of sexual intercourse.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take VIGORE 50MG as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not cursh or chew the medicine. Take VIGORA 50MG preferably before meals and at least 1 hour before sexual intercourse.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not take VIGORE 50MG along with other medicines to treat erectile dysfunction without consulting your doctor.
Talk to your doctor if you experience a very strong or very weak response after taking VIGORE 50MG and also if the effects of VIGORA 50MG does not last long until sexual intercourse.

- Gastro-esophageal reflux disease (reflux of acid into the food pipe causing heartburn) and vomitting
- Dry mouth, nasal block
- Reduced sense of touch
- High or low blood pressure
- Rapid heartbeat
- Feeling sleepy or tired
- Pain in legs, arms or in upper parts of stomach
- Muscle pain
- Presence of blood in semen/ urine
- Vertigo (spinning sensation)
- Ringing in the ears
RARE
- Throat tightness, numbness of mouth, fainting
- Temporary decrease in blood flow to brain
- Nosebleed
- Sudden decrease or loss of hearing
Stop taking VIGORA 50MG and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects such as:
- Severe allergic reaction (such as wheeziness, difficulty in breathing or dizziness, swelling of the face, lips, eyelids, or throat)
- Prolonged or painful erection (priapism)
- Chest pain
- Severe skin reactions (blistering of skin around the mouth, genitals or eyes, severe peeling and swelling of skin along with fever)
- Sudden decline or loss of vision
- Fits or seizures

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Vomiting:
Take VIGORA 50MG with or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods. Consult your doctor if your vomiting worsens.
Headache:
Rest and relax. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids such as water or electrolytes. Applying a pain-relieving balm on your forehead can be beneficial. Do not consume excessive alcohol, as it could aggravate your headache. Consult your doctor if your headache worsens.
Dizziness:
Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operating any tools or machines completely while you are feeling dizzy. Do not consume excessive alcohol, as it could aggravate your dizziness. Consult your doctor if your dizziness worsens.

PREGNANCY
VIGORE 50MG is not suitable for use in women.
BREASTFEEDING
VIGORE 50MG is not suitable for use in women.
DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Do not drive or operate any machines if you experience dizziness or blurred vision after taking VIGORE 50MG.
ALCOHOL
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking VIGORA 50MG, as it could temporarily impair your ability to get an erection.
KIDNEY
VIGORE 50MG should be used with caution in patients with kidney diseases. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking.
LIVER
VIGORE 50MG is not recommended for use in patients having severe liver diseases. It should be used with caution in patients with other minor liver problems. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking.
ALLERGY
Do not take VIGORE 50MG if you are allergic to Sildenafil.
LUNGS
VIGORE 50MG should be used with caution in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking.
HEART DISEASE
VIGORA 50MG is not recommended for use in patients with severe heart diseases (such as any recent heart attack or stroke, or severe low blood pressure). It should be used with caution in patients with other heart diseases. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking.
OTHERS
VIGORA 50MG is not recommended for use if you:
- Have any type of a rare inherited eye diseases (such as retinitis pigmentosa)
- Previously had vision loss due to non-arteritic anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy (nerve damage caused due to lack of blood and oxygen supply to the eye)
Before taking VIGORE 50MG inform your doctor if you:
- Have sickle cell anaemia (an inherited blood disorder charactrized by low RBC count)
- Have cancers of blood (leukaemia) or bone marrow (multiple myeloma)
- Have penile deformation
- Have Peyronie’s disease (development of fibrous scar tissue in the penis that causes painful erection)
- Have stomach ulcer or bleeding disorder such as haemophilia
Use in pediatrics:
VIGORE 50MG is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 18 years). Consult your doctor before taking.
Use in geriatrics:
VIGORE 50MG should be used with caution in elderly patients. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking.
INTERACTIONS
A. Drug-Drug Interaction:
Before taking VIGORA 50MG, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following:
- Nitrates or amyl nitrites (used for reliving chest pain) Ex. nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrite
- Protease inhibitors (used to treat HIV infection) Ex. ritonavir, lopinavir
- Other medicines used to treat prostate problems or blood pressure such as alpha blockers (Ex. silodosin, doxazosin)
- Riociguat (a medicine used to treat increased pressure in the lungs)
B. Drug-Food Interaction:
Avoid taking VIGORE 50MG with heavy meals, as it may take longer time for VIGORA 50MG to start working.
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally took more VIGORE 50MG, consult your doctor or visit the nearby hospital.
